HIGHLIGHTS

Here are some highlights of the development of a product from an idea until a grown up product:

  • The first ladies urinal for the P-Mate was introduced on Pinkpop 2000. Rock Werchter and Lowlands followed this example, together with other festivals in the Netherlands, Beglium, Switzerland, Canada, Finland and the UK.
  • De P-Mate is included in the Collection of museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
  • Moon Zijp wins with the P-Mate in 2000 the Dutch National Millenium Price with this innovative and revolutionairy product. She made a strong impressive attempt to improve womens hygiene.
  • In 2001 the word “Plastuit” (Dutch for P-Mate) is recorded in Ewoud Sanders book “De taal van het jaar” (The language of the year).
  • First there was the WC1, the ladies urinal, then came the WC2. Twin peeing was introduced. In order to let women pee with four persons together at the same time, the Kros Urinal was introduced. The Kros is a plastic tank for no less than 450 liter / 119 US Gallon / 99 UK Gallon (1500 regular pees). Each Kros offers 4 persons simultaniously the possibility to pee on just 1.15m2. Working with Patent7000, the producer of the Kros, special privacy doors were developed for the ladies.
  • In 2004 P-Mate is a prominent at Glastonbury Festival in England. Here the new ladies Kros was tested for the first time!
  • With the thousands of reactions from the women who tested and used the P-Mate, a improvement on the model is conducted in 2004. A bigger opening at the front and a deeper receptacle improved the P-Mate significantly.
  • On September 20, 2010 P-Mate BV announces that they support a big hygienic project in Africa. called Happy Days. From every sold wallet with 5 P-Mates, P-Mate BV donates 5 cent to this important project. Click HERE for all details.
  • In the beginning of 2011 a new design is introduced. Purple and butterflies are gone. Check HERE for all details.
  • New designs and series will be developed in 2011.
  • Also new productions with different multi purposes are under construction.
